Things I'm Excited For: August

Summer, for me, is pretty much a series of relaxation in my habitual settings (mostly home and frozen yogurt joints), rather than jet-setting across the world or taking up some summertime romance by the beach or whatever it is that people who travel do during these trips. One reason being that, I am in no position to blow money on round-trip tickets to wherever it is that people with this privilege like to go and another reason being that my parents don't truly commence any actual vacation gestures 'til August. It isn't until August that my plate's become full and my Instagram looks kind of good.

1. Réalisation Par

Created by Alexandra Spencer and Teale Talbot, Réalisation Par is a "cool girl brand". That's pretty straightforward. The brand launched only yesterday, offering just five garments (3 out of 5 of them have a star pattern on them, I love it).

2. Tame Impala at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery, August 7th

I am already aware that seeing Tame Impala live is going to be the pinnacle of my summer, but I don't care. Just listening to Currents alone at home is enough to strike me with a complete existential crisis. 

To amplify the matter, it's going to be at a glorified funky cemetery. I can already imagine cool ghosts jamming to New Person, Same Old Mistakes with me. Listen to it here.

  3. Vegas Trip, August 9th - August 12th 

I haven't reached 21 yet, but I've been to Las Vegas probably more than 21 times. This is not bragging whatsoever considering there's not much to do as minor except sit and arcades and sulk in retired peoples' secondhand smoke. The only reason I'm excited for this short leave of absence is because 1. MGM has marble bathrooms, the type that makes all your stuff look good in 2. We have "endless sushi buffet" in our itinerary and 3. I low-key love that washed out hotel scent and Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.
